Theme: Design from nature

 

Design synopsis: Choose a Singapore plant and design a jewelry or object inspired by the unique features of the plant. 

This is a hand-render project.

 

Inspired by its eye-catching unique petal and shape,   Anthurium andraeanum (Tail flower) is my chosen plant.

 

Anthurium is a very underrated plant in my mind, and despite its beautiful petal, sleek, straight stalk and heart-shaped leaves, anthuriums are not spoken of much when asked right off the bet: 

" What is your favourite plant?" 

 

So I had decided to pick this plant for my project to be inspired to create a product design out of using it's naturally beautiful form as an inspiration as well as its bringing its unique features out to light.
